To help drive the development of science and technology in Japan, the Nagase Science and Technology Foundation was launched in 1989 as a public-interest corporation approved by the former Science and Technology Agency.
The foundation aims to contribute to social and economic development by advancing science and technology through support for research and development and international exchange in fields such as biochemistry and organic chemistry.
Nagase is a participant in Table For Two, an organization that began in Japan that simultaneously addresses hunger in the developing world, and life-style related diseases in the developed world.
