Kotobuki Kasei Industry, a plastic molder of Nagase Group, completed construction of Kanuma plant which had been under construction and is scheduled to start operation next January. New plant is to provide food package in compliance with food hygiene manufacturing standard, HACCP, installing molding line within a clean room which are able to create clean space and facilitated production system that eliminates any contamination in each production process.
Completed new plant (7-9 Satuki-Cho, Kanuma-City) has about 16500 square meter plottage, with a light weight steel-frame building of about 6600 square meter building area. The plant will produce mainly polypropylene or polystyrene-made food package for industrial use, starting with eight molding lines, and expandable to 10 lines. Particularly for the accommodation, they installed clean rooms of a hundred thousand class and ten thousand class and introduced five molding line system which are able to produce the product fully complied with HACCP of food package mainly on frozen foods use and PL law. A series of works from cleaning crude plastic sheet with air-shower in pre-processing and heating and forming and elimination of contamination after post-processing to putting it in bags in and corrugated fiberboard boxes is performed within the above mentioned cleans in order to avoid both microorganic contamination by heating and physical contamination. For non-silicone package, the line that can completely shut out adhered fine particles is introduced and will be operated as next step. In the meantime, the existing plant in the city will be utilized as warehouse. Kotobuki Kasei was founded in 1972 with capital of 20 million yen, 85% of which Nagase and Nagase Plastic shares.
