Mitsubishi chemical manufactures and sells various types of industrial carbon black (ICB) which is produced with the furnace technology using unique technologies. And we manufacture carbon black under completely integrated quality control from raw material through finished products.

We have two carbon black plants in Japan (Fukuoka, Mie). MITSUBISHI Carbon Black and MITSUBISHI Conductive Carbon Black are produced at both plants, and the supply capacity is about 20kt/Y.

Our company began manufacturing titanium dioxide using the Sulphate process in 1954. And we started to operate the Chloride process in 1974.
Our titanium oxide factory is located in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, in the center of Japan, and supply titanium oxide with both Sulphate and Chloride processes all over the world.

In addition, we recently have been focusing on the development and manufacturing of premium titanium oxide products for various applications, not only for paint and ink but also cosmetics and electronics. These products are also manufactured at the Yokkaichi factory.

Our aluminum paste is produced at our Tomobe plant which is owned by Asahi kasei Metals, which is a subsidiary of Asahi Kasei Corporation. It is located in Ibaraki prefecture, Japan.
Asahi Kasei Metals Plant began operations in 1974 and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2024.
