The NAGASE Group was named a Supplier Engagement Leader in the 2023 Supplier Engagement Assessment by CDP, an international environmental nonprofit. The NAGASE Group is committed to setting greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets throughout its supply chain, addressing climate change risk reduction, and providing GHG emission reduction support to its suppliers. The NAGASE Group recognizes that its efforts have been highly evaluated. In February 2024, Minebea received an A- (minus) rating, the second highest of eight ratings, in the CDP’s 2023 Climate Change Survey.
<What is CDP?>
CDP is an international non-profit organization established in the United Kingdom in 2000. It is one of the world’s leading ESG assessment organizations, representing institutional investors and conducting surveys and assessments of the world’s major companies with respect to climate change, water security, and forestry risks and opportunities. The Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) assesses how effectively companies are working with their suppliers on climate change issues, and is based on CDP’s Climate Change Questionnaire, which includes the following questions in the categories of governance, targets, Scope 3 emissions, and value chain engagement. Supplier engagement efforts are scored on questions of particular relevance.
