Nagase & Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Hiroyuki Ueshima), the Japan Paint Manufacturers (Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Chair: Yuichiro Wakatsuki), and TOPPAN Inc. (Head Office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Masanori Saito) have collaborated to produce VR experiences of workplace accidents in the paint manufacturing industry, with the goal of reducing workplace accidents in the paint manufacturing industry, and began sales of this VR content in March.
By having workers virtually experience workplace accidents from an immersive, first-person perspective through VR, it is anticipated they will feel dangers in the workplace are more personally relevant, and will make greater efforts to prevent workplace accidents. This new content, which was made to reflect the unique conditions of the paint manufacturing industry, is intended to contribute to improved workplace conditions and greater productivity, as a solution preventing workplace accidents before they happen.
