As part of its climate change countermeasures, Nagase has continued its efforts from the previous fiscal year to reduce CO2 emissions from the electricity used at its general shareholders meeting to virtually zero through carbon offsetting using J-credits generated by the Yusuhara 2021 Forestation Project in Yusuhara, Kochi, which is promoting advanced decarbonization and forest management (June 21, 2024).
We are committed to achieving carbon neutrality, which means virtually zero GHG emissions by 2050. This carbon offsetting is based on a solution development plan that aims not only to achieve carbon neutrality for the company, but also to support the creation of forest credits and provide value to local communities and the forestry industry. We will continue our efforts to utilize carbon credits and other resources in the future.
