As part of its climate change countermeasures, Nagase has offset the CO2 emissions from the electricity used at its general shareholders meeting venue to virtually zero through carbon offsetting using J-credits generated by Yusuhara Town, Kochi Prefecture, which promotes advanced decarbonization and forest management (Yusuhara Reiwa no Shinrin Zukuri Project).
